For the ultimate safety and security of the rider, it is critical that purchase a scooter that can accommodate your weight.
The rated weight of a scooter is the “should-never-exceed” number for the scooter. So if the scooter has a maximum weight capacity of 300 pounds, the combined rider and cargo (accessories plus anything being carried) number should never exceed 300 pounds. Also, if the rider/baggage weight exceeds about 80% of the scooters maximum weight capacity, battery range may be diminished.
