In spite of how large the scooter is in the carton and how small the keys are, it’s unlikely that the keys were not included. It just doesn’t happen that often.
For most Drive Medical scooters, the keys come already inserted in the key slot along with a string tag attached.
For Pride Mobility scooters, the keys come inside the plastic bag that also contains the owner’s manual and the clevis pins needed to install the seat post and armrests. The bag is usually sealed and has the initials of the Pride employee who verified that the keys are inside.
We encourage you to double and triple-check all of the Styrofoam packing, bubble wrap and plastic bags that the scooter comes wrapped in for the missing keys. In most cases, they do turn up. Replacement keys can be ordered and will take several days to reach you.
If they still can’t be located, call Customer Service with the scooter serial number and we will ask the manufacturer to send you a replacement set of keys.
