The seat on the Pride Mobility Raptor can be adjusted backward to two other positions to increase the distance between the seat and the steering tiller. The process to do so is very likely a two person job.
- Begin by lifting and tilting the seat forward as if you were looking to get access to the storage bin.
- Once the seat is tilted forward, you'll see that it's fastened to the seat pan with four screws. Remove those four screws, releasing the seat from the pan. This is where you may need assistance as the seat is heavy.
- On the underside of the seat are eight additional screw holes in two different positions. Selecting another set of screw holes will position the seat back about two inches. Please note that some of those holes may be covered by seating upholstery material. You may have to feel around for the holes with a sharp object and then cut a some small circles in the upholstery to expose the screw holes.
