My new Drive Medical Phoenix scooter won't turn on- battery seems to be dead

New scooters come with their batteries mostly charged. The Phoenix comes with a clear piece of plastic in the battery well that covers the contacts during shipping. It must be removed and discarded. If your Phoenix does not even power up, do verify that clear plastic has been removed.
