This article applies to Pride Mobility GoGo scooters only.
Some GoGo scooter riders may find that when seated on the scooter, they, the seat and the front portion of the scooter rock from side to side as if something is loose.
The most common reason for this is a misadjusted electrical connector on the rear (drive train) portion of the scooter that is preventing the two halves from coming together completely. Generally, but not always, it is because the connector is too high.
To adjust this connector, separate the two halves of the scooter, front and back and then have a look at the connector on the rear portion of the scooter:
Using an Allen wrench, loosen the four screws as shown in the picture above. Slide the connector down and then retighten the four screws. Reassemble the scooter to see if the rocking has been resolved. If it has not, repeat the process, lowering the connector a little more. As mentioned above, while generally the connector needs to be lowered you might find that raising the connector also solves the problem.
